报告人简介：

Roel Leus obtained his PhD in Operations Research (OR) from KU Leuven (Belgium) in 2003, and is currently full professor of OR at the Faculty of Economics and Business of the s-ame university.  He was the program director of the Business Engineering programs (for all c-ampuses, covering around 2000 students) from 2017 to 2025, and he serves as the chairman o-f the university-wide Advisory Committee for the Chinese Region of KU Leuven since 2019.  He was the head of the research group ORSTAT (Operations Research and Statistics) from 2-012 to 2016.  His main research interests are in sequencing and scheduling, combinatorial opt-imization, and decision making under uncertainty.

报告内容简介：

“Publish or perish” is a common adage in academia. The goal of this seminar is to provi-de some tips and tricks for getting your paper published.  Although we focus mostly on the fie-ld of Operations Research, we will also include a number of suggestions that are not specific for this particular field. The target audience are mainly PhD-students and junior staff, but everyone is welcome – the goal is to make the session interactive and share experiences.
